Stephanie Pepper
Meet Stephanie Pepper, a Kentucky girl with a mile-wide smile. Saying that she has “never not run,” in high school Stephanie focused on mid-distance races (800, mile, mile relay). As a walk-on at Vanderbilt, she ran for the university, and worked at Fleet Feet both during and after college – but eventually took a job in Washington, D.C., working for a Kentucky congressman. Upon her return to Nashville, Stephanie got involved with Fleet Feet’s speed sessions, and now trains with the East Nasties in preparation for the Louisville half-marathon.
Working in PR at the Chamber of Commerce, Stephanie loves knowing what’s going on in the city. She supports local music, especially her boyfriend’s band the Coal Men, and her brother, singer/songwriter Brian Pepper. She sees her nephews in Smyrna as often as possible, and as former class president, she is busy planning her 10-year high school reunion.
Stephanie runs for the community aspect, calling it “restorative.” And with 4 marathons under her belt, it is clear that the distance running that she loves is also something that she is very good at.
