East Nasty is partnering with the ‘PR Bandits’ who are hosting supported long runs on Saturday mornings. This Saturday we will be supplying Nuun on route thanks to Nashville Running Company! Meeting at the McCabe Golf Course at 6am, we start out on the Richland Creek Greenway. Circling half way, we'll head out towards White Bridge Rd and go into the Hillwood neighborhood. After a 'parade of homes', we'll head back to the greenway and finish out the loop.

Here it is!
East Nasty is partnering with the ‘PR Bandits’ who are hosting supported long runs on Saturday mornings. This Saturday we will be supplying Nuun on route thanks to Nashville Running Company! The 12th South run will start our post Tomato-Fest Schedule. Continuing through the rest of the month with 6:00am runs, we will start and finish at the Sevier Park Shelter. The run brings you into both Oak Hills and Green Hills, and then down Belmont Blvd and into the city for the longer run. We offer two distance options, and even though it is not an out-and-back, you can modify this run to your liking.
We will provide hydration at the start and finish as well as around mile 5.5 (St. Bartholomew's)

A GPS watch is a pretty big investment without ever getting the chance to try one out...but tonight that changes. Garmin will be at Nashville Running Company before the run and will have about 20 watches available for a wear test. Swing by as early as 5:00 to check one out.
This is an easy one - and as of right now, Drew Jones is still willing to run past Nissan Stadium without booing. (That may change by November...)
The week is a big week for East Nasty. Not only is it Tomato Festival week, but Wednesday night we welcome the newest bunch of graduates from our potato to tomato program. That is very exciting, but it also means there will be a large group this week, which means parking could be tight. So use our super secret parking location (East End UMC) but remember you need to be out by 8:00.
Come out this weekend and join 30,000+ of your best friends at the Tomato Festival. We will have a booth located right at 11th and Woodland where we will be unveiling our 2016 shirts.
East Nasty is partnering with the ‘PR Bandits’ who are hosting supported long runs on Saturday mornings. This Saturday we will be supplying Gatorade on route. Week 2 of the Nashville Downtown Runs, this time it is a new run and from the opposite side of town. We will Start at the Amsurg (get it??? surg/surge) parking lot in Burton Hills (Hillsboro Pike and Burton Hills Blvd) at 6am, and make our way to the Cumberland River (1st St). A true out and back with an elevation drop on the way out, and a bit of a climb on the way back. We will work our way from Green Hills passing the all too famous Bluebird cafe, through Belmont and Music Row, finding our way downtown, then we turn around. As with any out and back, you can decide the distance.
Hydration will be located at the start and finish, and either at the top of music row or at Music Circle (TBD), either way, you will hit hydration twice on this run.

As runners we know that races need water stops... but so does an outdoor festival in early August! That is why each year East Nasty runs a water stop - for the Tomato Festival. This is our way to give back to the community that has embraced us, and it is also our biggest fundraiser. But we can't do it without volunteers.
We have 7 more slots to fill - and these are the ones that always fill up last...early morning and late afternoon. But believe me it's not a chore, it's really fun! Volunteering is a fun new way to experience a festival, and an opportunity to meet some new folks. Please consider signing up for a 2 hour shift. Sign up for a shift.
Little Hollywood. If you are new, here's some information about our Wednesday night runs.
After the run, rehydrate by heading over to NRC for their monthly pint night!
East Nasty is partnering with the ‘PR Bandits’ who are hosting supported long runs on Saturday mornings. This Saturday we will be supplying water on route. Let's run Nashville! For the next 2 weeks we are making the most of the city. This week we start on the east side at 6am from the Yellow House at 11th and Holly (East Nasty Location), and we cover a lot of ground. The two distance options will not takeaway from enjoying the views and the rest hills that Nashville offers.
Hydration will be avaliable at the start and finish, as well as somewhere along the course for both groups (Location: TBD)

The East Nashville Tomato Fest is on August 12 - 13, which of course includes the East Nashville Tomato 5K on Saturday at 7:30am. Obviously we want you to participate in the race, but it's a big day for us and we need volunteers to help us at the festival. Read below to see how you can help.
1) Run in the East Nashville Tomato 5k race.
The race starts at 7:30am at East Park and there will be East Nasties all over the place. This is our goal race for the Potato-to-Tomato Group, so cheer these folks on as they tackle what for many of them seemed like an unattainable goal!
2) Volunteer before the race.
We have additional opportunities for East Nasties to be a part of the 2016 East Nashville 5k’s 10th anniversary. Due to the continued growth and popularity of this annual race, the Y is wanting to move to a wave start to alleviate congestion at the start of the race. Volunteers are needed to assist in the corals based on estimated pace. The Y is looking for 5 – 10 pace/coral volunteers to help separate and start the various groups. If you are interested in this or would like to lead this effort please contact Jeremy Taylor at 615-424-7794 or inglewoodlifer@gmail.com
3) Work the East Nasty ‘water tent booth’ during the East Tomato Fest.
From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday. East Nasty will have a tent set up right in front of 3 Crow Bar and we will be serving free water to anyone who is thirsty during the Tomato Festival. It is our way of giving back to the community as a thanks for letting us run on the neighborhood streets. We need volunteers to work a 2 hour shift. The volunteers will be passing out water, selling shirts, refilling coolers, getting ice, and spreading the East Nasty cheer. SIGN UP FOR A SHIFT HERE. Be sure to wear an East Nasty shirt. Contact Mark for more details: mark@eastnastyforlife.com
At the Tomato Festival we will be bringing back some old favorites and releasing our 2016 East Nasty shirt. As always graphic designer extraordinaire Duane Stephenson has created a masterpiece!
Route #6
East Nasty is partnering with the ‘PR Bandits’ who are hosting supported long runs on Saturday mornings. This Saturday we will be supplying water on route. We all have to travel to the burbs at some point. Sometimes the trip, especially pre-6am and without traffic, is well worth it. River Park is a great run, although it can be a bit confusing of a course so please review the map. This loop will take you well into the park, then onto a few residential roads before returning. We start the run off of Concord Rd, on Knox Vally Dr. at 6am. The gates don't get opened until around 6 but you can find easy parking at the YMCA or library on either side of the park with the greenway connecting both to the park.

Drew's favorite. 6 pm at the corner of 11th and Holly in East Nashville.
So most of us know that 3 Crow offers 2-4-1 beers on Wednesday nights. But there are several other specials, including a brand new one that is really exciting… The Local Taco. The deal for East Nasties is:
2-4-1 Tacos
$3 Craft Beers
Free Chips & Salsa with any purchase
Yet another fantastic reason to stay after the run to enjoy the great things East Nashville has to offer. Just head over there after the run and tell them you’re with East Nasty – better yet, don’t change or throw on an East Nasty shirt.
August 13th is a great day in East Nashville. It's the Tomato Festival, and the East Tomato 5k. It's also a great day for East Nasty where we are the official water stop of the festival (not the race). Meaning that we supply water for the festival goers! To make this happen we need some volunteers. Next week I will have more details, right now I just need you to consider helping out on that day.
