We’re on.
Yes, we still meet the day before Thanksgiving. In fact, what better way to eat guilt free than to get in a good run the night before!
6 p.m. Corner of 11th and Holly. Route #8. Wear reflective gear.
Wow…
Check out this article. One of the most fascinating running-related stories I’ve read in a long time. It highlights the fact, that under the veneer of normalcy, people are crazy…especially us runners.
Caffeine
This morning (Monday) on NPR there was a story about endurance athletes and caffeine. So grab a cup of coffee, a caffeinated Gu and listen to this story.
See you on Wednesday.
Mark
Amazing article.
Re. the article, I think most runners are honest because running, in multiple dimensions, is about reality. A rare exception, WI Congressman Paul Ryan (R), claimed his one over-4-hour marathon had been run in under 3 hours. His reward: keeping a VP nomination, when that fabrication could have been used as an excuse to replace him with a more honest candidate. Now that choice, Mark, reflects primarily on a wishful/dismissive/reality-bending population-set that I would be far more inclined to label “crazy” than runners!
